Battlefield 4 beta confirmed for this Fall

Battlefield community manager confirms the BF4 beta for this Fall.

As expected, the Battlefield 4 beta will go live this Fall. The news was confirmed by Battlefield Community Manager Ian Tornay via Twitter, who said that they “have fun Battlefield 4 stuff planned”, which would lead up to the beta this Fall.

Battlefield 4 betaAnother bit of Battlefield 4 beta information was revealed via Origin, where, likely due to an error, BF3 Premium subscription features showed access to an exclusive Battlefield 4 beta just for Premium members. According to rumors, the Premium members BF4 beta will go live this Summer, giving them an early sneak peak at the game. It’s unknown what platforms the beta will be on. The previous BF3 beta ran on the PC, PS3, and the Xbox 360.

It looks like the Battlefield 4 beta will follow in the footsteps of the BF3 beta 2 years ago. The BF3 beta launched on September 30 and ran until October 30. The game itself was released on October 25. The game had already gone gold on most platforms before the conclusion of the beta, which meant that any fixes had to be added in a patch after release.

Hopefully the Battlefield 4 beta will launch a bit earlier and give developers enough time to iron out all the bugs and glitches.

Not necessarily. There are millions of hardcore Battlefield fans who aren’t going to fall for some marketing scheme to get them to pay for a failed game just to get a code. EA knew MOH:WF wasn’t a good game and they needed to throw out an incentive. DICE also wouldn’t betray their community like that. A DICE employee confirmed there will be more ways to obtain a beta code than just the MOH deal. Hang tight, we’ll be on. And I’ll be taking your tags this fall.
