Battlefield 4 beta to be available to all BF3 Premium members?
According to the latest rumors, the Battlefield 4 beta will be made available to all BF3 Premium members. Premium membership can be purchased in addition to BF3, and offers free access to DLC and other goodies. Last week, EA confirmed that the Battlefield 4 beta would launch this Fall. Yesterday, a leaked advertising poster from games retailer EB Games showed that Battlefield 4 would ship in Fall 2013, just like the previous game in the series.
The Battlefield 4 beta news comes from a screenshot of Origin Russia, where a promotion for Premium lists all the features. At the very end, the the image below shows, listed is “exclusive access to the Battlefield 4 beta”. There is no real way of confirming this, since Origin in Russia has been updated with the added beta feature removed.
Officially, the only way to get into the Battlefield 4 beta is through Medal Of Honor Warfighter. Last year, a Medal of Honor Warfighter pre-order incentive was access to beta. Coincidentally, this is how we first heard about BF4. Days later, DICE and EA confirmed that the game was in development and scheduled for launch in 2013. It’ll officially be unveiled on March 27, where we could get the first beta details.
Our previous report suggests that EA is planning to offer a Battlefield 4 Premium subscription at launch. The first DLC for the game is reportedly already in planning stages.
It’ll be interesting to see what DICE has in store for the beta. The BF3 beta started with one map and one game mode (Operation Metro on Rush). It was later extended with another map and another game mode (Caspian Border, Conquest). Check out the screenshot (via VG247) of the Russian Origin page advertising access to the Battlefield 4 beta:
If the rumor turns out to be true, you might want to get BF3 Premium access now. It retails for just $25 on Orgin (50% off). Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for all the latest BF4 news.
