Battlefield 4 beta open to all BF3 Premium users
DICE just confirmed that the upcoming Battlefield 4 beta will be available to all BF3 Premium subscribers. Earlier today we reported that those who pre-ordered the $70 Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition will get access to the beta. But you’re a Premium member, there’s no need to spend the extra money on your pre-order if you’re just looking to get into the beta.
BF3 Premium subscription can be had for around $25 on Origin now, and includes access to all DLC, new Battlelog features, and more. At some point in the future, EA will no doubt announce a Battlefield 4 Premium service. The first DLC has already been confirmed — called “Premium expansion pack”, it’s part of the Battlefield 4 pre-order on Origin.
The Battlefield 4 beta launches this Fall, likely late-August or early-September, just as the case was with the BF3 beta. We’re still not sure what to expect of the beta — BF3 featured two maps (Operation Metro and Caspian Border) and two game modes (Rush and Conquest). Hopefully we’ll get an additional map and game mode to test in Battlefield 4. One thing is certain: there will be plenty of Battlefield 4 beta players out there: Premium members have passed 3 million so far.
