Battlefield 4 supports 24 players on PS3, Xbox 360, still 30 fps

Just like its predecessor, Battlefield 4 supports only 24 players on Xbox 360 and PS3, and will run at 30 frames per second.

Battlefield 4 PS3 Xbox 360Battlefield 4 is coming out this Fall on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. While PC players will be able to enjoy 64 players and frame rates as fast as their hardware can push, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be limited like BF3.

DICE’s Patrick Bach confirmed in a recent interview that the game sticks with 24 players on consoles and a steady, 30 fps frame rate. He said that it would be possible to crank up the frame rate to 60 fps and add more players, but that would mean cutting down on features in the game. Features such as destruction and vehicles. Bach said:

“It’s a balance. I would never sacrifice the core Battlefield experience to get higher frame-rate.”

Bach added that higher frame rates were possible and that “we’ll see what happens”. We’re guessing here that next-gen versions of Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and Xbox 720 will indeed run at higher frame rates and possibly with more players as well.

DICE has yet to officially confirm Battlefield 4 on next-gen systems, but everything is pointing in that direction. Recently, game retailer GameStop leaked in an email that Battlefield 4 is coming to PC, current gen, and next-gen platforms. As Bach puts, I guess we’ll see what happens.

Not getting the game unless it comes out on next-gen consoles and has more players. No point in making the maps bigger without more players. I guess we’ll see. Don’t need 64 players, but at least 36 or 48 would be nice.

No money? lol PC gaming has been proven to be cheaper in the long run anyways.. Plus you can build one for like $550 that will run BF3 and BF4 with ease(and better than PS4 specs)… and new consoles are about the same every release.

Why get a bew console if your old one is running great? Waste ur money on 500-700$ on a new gen console just for new players!?! No! Save your cash and have fun with what you have. All that money can be put to good used instead of paying 500-700on a new console for the same thing all over again.

for me I wanted more player but that does not increase the frames per second for the mag game I’ve played on ps3 supported 264 players on a server that not only had the same battlefield destruction but still had a 64 for ps3 and xbox360 without increase the tables and let the destruction as ta perhaps with an update.

I would have a better experience if it was 64 players in multiplayer
