DICE to show 64-player Battlefield 4 multiplayer at E3
During a recent interview, DICE’s Lars Gustavsson revealed some of their plans at E3 2013. While he didn’t go into specifics, he confirmed that Battlefield 4 will support 64-players (presumably on the PC), and that there will be 64 players on the E3 show floor playing together. DICE will also have a special showcase of Battlefield 4 multiplayer behind closed doors at E3, for press only.
Gusvasson also talks about Battlefield 4 on next gen systems — PS4 and Xbox One — saying that there are “so many possibilities”. He says that they’re aiming for the sort of visual quality on the PS4 and Xbox One we saw during the first singleplayer gameplay video.
Battlefield 4 and its multiplayer portion will be unveiled at E3 next week. The first showcase of the game will be on Monday, June 10, at 1PM, during EA’s E3 press conference. We’ve also heard that DICE will have some surprises for us at E3 — we hope they’re Battlefield 4 related.
