Analyst: Battlefield 4 will sell 14 million units during launch
According to analyst Arvind Bhatia from Sterne Agee, who often gives investor notes on the games industry, Battlefield will sell 14 million units during launch this Fall.
That’s considerably higher than BF3, which went on to sell some 20 million units to date. Not to mention 4 million Premium subscribers. EA and DICE have already confirmed that Battlefield 4 Premium will be available at launch and offer some of the same benefits as Premium for BF3.
Bhatia adds that Battlefield 4 and its main rival, Call of Duty Ghosts, will be able to coexist in the marketplace, despite launching just one week apart. Bhatia also believes that the majority of Battlefield 4 sales will happen on the PC, despite the arrival of next gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft.
Battlefield 4 will launch on October 29, and is already the most pre-ordered game at GameStop and other retailers. Those who pre-order will get access to China Rising DLC, which includes 4 maps remade for Battlefield 4. In addition, EA offers a “Deluxe” edition which gives access to the upcoming beta.
