Battlefield 4 supports 64 players on PlayStation 4, 60 fps

DICE confirms that PlayStation 4 will support 64 player multiplayer as well.

During today’s live streaming of Battlefield 4 multiplayer at E3, DICE confirmed in an on-screen interview that the PlayStation 4 version will indeed support 64 players. When the game was unveiled yesterday EA’s E3 press conference, DICE said that the Xbox One would support 64 players, but there was no mention of 64 players on the PS4. Both next-gen consoles will run the game at 60 frames per second as well.

Now PlayStation 4 players can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that they too will get to experience Battlefield 4 with 64 players, Commander, and all the new features. PC players will of course also see 64 player support. However, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be limited to 24 players in multiplayer. It was confirmed a while ago that Battlefield 4 will not feature any co-op.

During Microsoft’s E3 press conference, they announced that Battlefield 4 Second Assault, the very second DLC for the game, will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox One.

No co op huh? In the angry sea trailer, when in the boat, you see on the lower right side of the screen PLAYER on top and slots for other names. Check out. I think I might be onto something here. There may be no co op campaign, but there might be co op.

      THERE IS NO CO-OP MODE.
EA said that we don’t make co-op mode to be focused on a campaign.
I think the hud is a list of bots.

      Differences will be:

      PC Version:
      Unlimited Frame Rate
      Resolutions of 2560×1600 and above
Possible 128 player with the use of modded servers (Most likely won’t happen)
      Better graphics
      No Aim-Assist

      Next-gen Console version:
      Timed exclusive DLC on Xbone.

“However, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be limited to 24 players in multiplayer.”

I’m confused. It is 64 player, but its 24 player. Huh?

It clearly says that the PS4 and Xbone will support 64 players but the PS3 and 360 will not. I don’t think it can be much clearer. But in case you are still having trouble.

      Xbox 360 – 24 Players
      PS3 – 24 Players

      Xbox One – 64 Players
      PS4 – 64 Players

      PC – 64 Players
