Caspian Border and Kharg Island maps returning to Battlefield 4?
DICE recently released a brand new Battlefield 4 trailer, showcasing the new Battlelog and its many features. The new Battlelog will have a ton of multiplayer, social, and matchmaking options, but we spotted one thing in the trailer that initially went unnoticed: the popular BF3 maps Caspian Border and Kharg Island appear on the Battlefield 4 server browser in the trailer.
DICE is known for remaking famous Battlefield maps — every version of the game since BF1942 has had at least one map remade. BF3 featured 4 maps from older Battlefield games. We wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Battlefield 4 maps turn out to be remakes, especially of popular ones like Kharg Island and Caspian Border.
Of course, there’s always the chance that these maps were simply placeholders for the trailer. But in that case, DICE might as well have used Siege of Shanghai. During the new trailer, another map was also spotted: a linear, snow-covered conquest map that reminds us of Port Valdez from Bad Company 2.

If DICE remade any maps for Battlefield 4, which ones would you love to see (besides Kharg Island and Caspian Border).
