Battlefield 4 GamesCom teaser trailer is live

The GamesCom teaser trailer definitely stands out from the previous BF4 trailers.

DICE went in a different direction with the new Battlefield 4 GamesCom trailer. To say the least. This time, a 74-year old German Battlefield gamer presents the game, inter-cut with a bunch of old trailer footage from E3. We’re not sure what DICE is trying to accomplish with this, but it definitely stands out from the rest of the Battlefield 4 videos and trailers we’ve seen so far. The old man, named Heiner, apparently has clocked in 8,000 hours in the Battlefield franchise, which is more than any of us here at BF4Central.

Last week, DICE confirmed that a new Battlefield 4 game mode and map will be showcased at GamesCom, which starts on August 21 in Koln, Germany. If you’re in the area, you should definitely visit — it’s the biggest gaming show in the world, and is open to the general public. Be sure to also check out the ultra high-end PC that’ll power Battlefield 4 at GamesCom.

It looks like this guy topped the other oldest BF player, which was 60 something.

I’ll be my favorite dog that Heiner clocked in less than 50 of those 8,000 hours on the piece of crap called BF3.
