Official Battlefield 4 strategy guide has bonus in-game content

Official Prima Guide gives players some in-game content as well.

Battlefield 4 guideOnline retailer Amazon has revealed a bunch of details about the official Battlefield 4 strategy guide. The guide — or rather book — clocks in at over 350 pages and includes all sorts of multiplayer tips and tricks, level guides, singleplayer walkthrough, and more.

Not only that, the official Battlefield 4 Prima Guide will also include a digital version with videos on how to do various things in the game, and some bonus content as well. Players will receive a code in the guide which will unlock multiplayer content. The content will be available on all platforms, but there’s no word on what the content specifically is. We’ll take a wild guess and say that it’ll include some dog tags.

The guide will retail for $25, although you can pre-order it now for just $19. What’s your take on the Prima guides? Are they worth the money? Share your thoughts in the comments section!

$25 for that piece of shit? Only an idiot would buy that thing. Just wait a few weeks, and the players themselves will figure out most ‘strategies’ by themselves anyway. If the ‘strategy guide’ is as ‘good’ (read: extremely crappy) as the one we got with BF3 Premium, I’ll pass. I took some time to check out a few sections and it does not cover ANYTHING I haven’t learned before from other players or by reading the forums.

Next thing we know they’re gonna make another Battlefield book and put codes for in-game content in that.

Why are you getting angry for EA releasing a strategy guide?
      like wtf?
Just don’t buy it then. Not many people probably buy this anyways.

I’m not getting angry because they’re releasing a strategy guide. I’m angry because of the in-game content it will include. People shouldn’t be forced to dish out $25 for a shitty guide they won’t need at all just because EA are a bunch of greedy douchefags and have to keep content segregated in order to earn as much money as they can while taking a huge Canadian Steamroller on their customers.

As long as it’s not game breaking, why is wrong for the to include in game content with it?
And no one is “forced” to buy this.
I really don’t know how you are thinking this one…

If the content itself is worth it, I may just pick it up post-launch.

That is just wishful thinking mate 😉
Any competent player can figure out what is written in such guides within a week.

Oh, well yes, of course! I was referring to the in-game content that it will come with, be it dog tags, an exclusive camo, etc.

I think it be cool just to read I love battlefield and reading so its appealing to me for amusement but $25 is a bit pricey it should be included for bf4 premium preorders that would be a nice gift

I rather they include it digitally for Premium just like BF3 and have whatever rewards to come with it.

Getting more and more disappointed with EA & DICE. Bet they can’t wait for newb-players to fall into their brand new micro transaction schemes that are probably coming around the corner soon. Battlepacks, shortcuts, micro rewards, etc.

All you have to do to get the code for free is go to WalMart, find the code in the book, write it down, them go home and enter it. Now don’t complain =D
