Battlefield 4 tablet/phone app only available on PC and next gen
During the latest Battlelog trailer, DICE unveiled Battlescreen, a tablet/phone app companion to Battlefield 4. Players can use their tablet and phone as a second screen experience — use it as a mini map, change their class loadout, and more.
Now DICE has revealed that the new Battlescreen feature will only be available on PC and next gen consoles: the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition, Battlelog for Battlefield 4 will be getting a slew of new features, such as the recently revealed geo leaderboards.
The new Battlelog will also give PC players the ability to use their second monitor as a minimap, something the series has lacked for a long time (for ever, actually).
But if you want the most out of Battlefield 4 and Battlelog and its many features, you should get the PC version or the next gen console version. They both support up to 64 players (66 with Commanders included), while the PS3 and Xbox 360 are once again limited to 24 players.
