New Battlefield 4 map and game mode to be shown at GamesCom
DICE has revealed that they will show off a brand new Battlefield 4 map and game mode at GamesCom on August 21. GamesCom is the larges games event in the world, and draws over 250,000 people in Cologne, Germany. Back in 2011, DICE used GamesCom to reveal all the big details about BF3, so we expect big news this time as well.
So far we know that there are several new Battlefield 4 game modes, from the testers of the alpha trial. The new game modes mentioned were Elimination and Obliteration, and it’s likely that we’ll see one of these at GamesCom. Regarding the new map, it could be the snow-covered map we briefly saw during the Battlelog trailer.
DICE has also released a new screenshot of the game, showing the Stinger anti-air missile, and revealed some interesting details: the support class will now have a “remote controlled mortar”, and the XM25 grenade launcher (which we already knew). Check out the new Battlefield 4 screen below, which, once again, takes place on the Siege of Shanghai map.
