New Battlefield 4 videos show assault rifles, machine guns, more

A new set of videos show off the different assault rifles, machine guns, and other weapons found in the game.

A couple of new Battlefield 4 videos have been released by the community, who had exclusive access to the game and the ability to record their gameplay. The videos go into detail on many of the the assault rifles, the machine guns, submachine guns, and other weapons in the game.

The videos show the guns both as they appear in the menus with all their accessories, and as they appear in the game, when actually used on the battlefield. We also get to see the different scopes and attachments in action as well.

So far, Battlefield 4 features 11 assault rifles, 10 machine guns, 8 SMGs (or Personal Defense Weapons), alongside the other weapons. More weapons will be released as part of DLC in the future. Check out the videos below. Finally, the last video shows a walkthrough of the attack boats in the game, with all of its unlocks and features.

I think you guys made a typo, one of the sentences says “Check out the videos blow.” when I’m assuming you meant ‘below’ (not that I’m complaining or anything, just wanted to bring it to your attention)

More on topic, thanks for posting these videos. I usually have a hard time finding stuff like this myself.

Either the exact same or even worse reload animations. What happened with that cool anim of the AEK-971? Whatever originality BF3 had, BF4 is sure to lack.

What you want the characters to do a back flip while smoking a cigar and reload at the same time? Who cares if the reload animations don’t look cool

I’m gonna miss the AEK reload animations.

Scar-H looks like the new G3a3- single shot beast with underslung shotgun. Though now that any class can use a DMR I may just use those. I loved the Garand in Bad Company 2.

In BF3 the G3 outclassed the Scar-H which was the CQB setup- short barrel carbine- and had weaker bullet damage in the game than the G3. It appears that in BF4 it will take the G3’s role as the large caliber assault rifle.
The ACE CBQ looks to be what the scar-h was in BF3.

Isn’t it time DICE dropped the whole “House of the dead” console-style red-screen when the player is shot and adapt something more realistic?
Like, for example the player getting knocked back, spun around or knocked to the ground when hit?
I’ve mentioned this before, when a tank blast or grenade hits near players they should fall down and have to get back to their feet. It would make stun grenades more effective and the game a hell of a lot more realistic.

At least you’d know if you hit that guy by the wall if he fell when you shot him, rather than simply shooting back with no apparent damage!

See, my problem with this, is that the Battlefield games have never been a mil-sim type of game.
It doesn’t need to be over-the top realisitic to get its point across.
They are a nice blend lf arcade and realism, it doesn’t need too much of either.
However, ARMA 3 just came out.
I’d suggest that game for your Mil-Sim fix.

That would be cool. If BF was actually a realistic game. It doesn’t really fit with BF’s more arcade style gameplay, and would be hella annoying.

I loved the fact that the QBZ-95 going to be available.
    Kick ass DICE, kick ass!

No AS Val or MP7 🙁 Was also hoping they would add the Kriss Vector and MP9/TMP.. Oh well I’m still grateful for what we’re getting. Plus there is still hope with the expansion packs.
