New Battlefield 4 video shows off the Flood Zone map

An in depth video on the new Flood Zone map and how the Levolution feature works.

A new Battlefield TV segment gives us an in depth look at the Battlefield 4 Flood Zone map, where the entire map can be flooded by destroying a dam/levy. The video goes into detail about the map and how the new Levolution feature works. We get to see the map in detail, in before and after versions of the map, where all the streets are flooded and the map is dominated by boats.

Players can destroy the dam/levy in Flood Zone, where after the whole map will be flooded with water in seconds. After the flooding, most entryways and paths for infantry are blocked, and focus shifts on RHIB boats and PWC vehicles. Like with other maps, the Levolution feature is player triggered. Check out the video above for an in-depth look at Flood Zone in Battlefield 4.

If going from current gen to next gen then yes, it is a huge step.

And how long will it take before the map changes? Hopefully a long time. I don’t want the map to be flooded in the first few minutes of gameplay. Oh, and I can’t wait to read this in the server descriptions, “Triggering levolution events will result in kick/ban!” GAAA I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS GAME!

Triggering levolution events could be optional server admin setting…maybe.
In my opinion they should allow people paying the rent to customize it.
Imagine bf3 with maps where you could rule outs jets.. helis.. or wharever.

Why not ? If it gets bad for play..they would surely take it back (admins)
The point being… it’s more options, cant be bad. IMO.

The problem with more options is that it makes some game modes on some maps disapear. Most of the TDM servers are on Canals! There are way too many Metro only servers as well.

For the first few games players ARE going to trigger Levelution events just for the hell of it. I myself with concentrate on them from either blowing up the dam to flood the streets, or bringing that sky scraper down.
