This is what the Battlefield 4 test range looks like

The first screenshots show the brand new test range map, where players can try out all the vehicles.

DICE is doing something new this time around: they’re offering a Battlefield 4 test range for players to try out all the weapons and vehicles. It’s a great way for new players to try out the jets and especially the helicopters, which are notoriously difficult to get used to (if you’re new to the franchise).

The Battlefield 4 test range is a separate map that includes all of the vehicles. The map can be accessed from Battlelog with the “quick match” option. It’ll be interesting to see how players use the new test range and what this will mean to the game in general.

What do you think the effect of the Battlefield 4 test range will mean to the game? Will we see a better crop of helicopter pilots in the game now? Share your thoughts in the comment section!

DICE released a few new screenshots of the test range, which you can find below:

This is very important, in bf3 lot’s of noobs waste vehicles, well this makes it happen less

I’d say anyone who thinks this is a bad idea is, perhaps, off their rocker.

Brilliant! Does it say if you can invite a friend to the testrange? So you can practise helicopter speedpickups and such?

the test range should have all the maps so you explore them for weak spots , strong hold etc… & maybe a weapons firing range with close , medium & long targets even for vehicles like random targets to destroy by a jet or a tank .

On the second screenshot you can see the F35 is selected, Apart from the dog tags I guess this is official.

Are those bots I see in the bottom left on the last picture? They seem lined up in a circle position; ready to be shot :p.

I was hoping there would just be a “Test Range” mode for all of the maps. I’m pretty good at chopper flying, and decent at jets, but it would have been nice to learn the different maps. It was usually fine in 3, but now with the “levolution” it might be hard to find empty servers without the big events already triggered. Also, we’ll still have to worry about trolls coming on the empty server and screwing around with you.

Well I am glad to be seeing this because my clan had recently moved to Battlefield 4 and I will be put in charge of the aircraft in the clan. I have never played a Battlefield game and this will give me a chance to get used to the aircraft’s controls when I go into action.

This will make everything so much easier.

Battlefield 4 on xbox one, test range area. The stinger missile or heat seeker missile or whatever it is called…will not reload at the ammo crate. Can you correct this please.

    Thank you
