New Battlefield 4 beta patch improves performance

New beta PC patch brings several stability fixes and increases frame rates.

DICE has released a new Battlefield 4 beta patch, which should greatly improve performance for PC players. The new patch, like the previous one, is released via Origin and is relatively small in size: 54 MB. The full patch details:

  • Fixes the long or permanent loading screens
  • Various improvements for players using quad core and six core CPUs
  • Dual core crash fix that happened after loading
  • Fixed a DirectX 10 graphics card crash
  • Various stability and crash fixes.

So far, many Battlefield 4 players are reporting great performance and stability improvement with the patch, especially when it comes to frame rates. Yesterday, DICE released the new Obliteration game mode in the beta, which should now be even better with the new patch.

Try the beta after the new patch and let us know if you’re getting any performance increase.

Sharing is caring!

I’ ve been waiting for this game after the last BF3 DLC, but THIS game sucks so far. It’s NECEESSARY to download a patch for a BATE Game. Does anyone know what it means? What comes in the Full game OMG. Dont misunderstand! Im a BF fan, a hate COD (multiplayer)….. But this is a s…!

You do realize that a beta is meant to test the game so bugs must be expected. It’s great that DICE is already releasing patches, this shows that they want to make the game better.

Sorry guys, I was too biased, but do they have time to fix these problems?

Considering they’ve already released like 3 patches (that, in my experience have had a very positive affect on gameplay) in the last 12 days or so, they are obviously putting a lot of effort into fixing the game. The launch is probably going to be very glitchy still, but that should be expected of most games, especially one that only includes one map and less than half of the vehicles, weapons, and attachments.

It’s not a demo ffs, of course there will be problems in a “Beta”, that’s the point of it, to find the problems and fix them. Dice didn’t even have to patch the beta since it’s a fricken “beta” but they did anyway.

I wish the internet had a filter against morons……….and whiners.

Ha ha! I agree with you, N-Shifter.
I really wish people would be intelligent and realize Dice uses the term: “beta” for a reason.
This isn’t any indication of what the full game is going to be like, please, unless you are a time traveler who has come from the future to tell us what the game is like upon release, don’t ever say a beta is the full indication of what a retail release is going to turn out to be.
It’s like judging a book by its cover, you don’t know what the content is really going to be until you actually read it yourself.

Well only since BF3 DLC. I have been waiting for a battlefield game to actually fix the hit-registration when I shoot enemies since Bad company 2.

That will never happen until they move on to using server side hit detection.
Battlefield 4 is still going to run on client side hit detection, so you better get used to it.

It’s a sad, sad world we live in.
It just boggles the mind when people pass off opinions as matters of fact.

      “supposed to have issue”
implying DICE added problems into the beta on purpose

I am absolutely positive they will fix it, even good glitches are considered exploits none the less.
However, we can only wish and pray it remains unnoticed!

Just like bf3, way too much time is spent looking at the round end screen, instead of playing the game. very annoying… especially when rounds are so short.
