Battlefield 4 discounted on Origin to $42

EA is running an End of Year sale on Origin, with BF4 and other titles discounted.

Battlefield 4 origin pre-orderIf you still haven’t gotten Battlefield 4, or you missed out on the Black Friday deals last month, EA’s Origin has a great deal for you.

EA is running an End of Year sale on the digital download service, where they are discounting lots of new games, including Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed Rivals down to $42, and Dead Space 3 for just $18.

You can also pick up a copy of Battlefield 3, or Mass Effect 3, or The Sims 4 for just $12 apiece.

While Battlefield 4 has had a tough launch, with a lot of problems, things are a lot better at the moment. Granted, the game is still not perfect, there are still bugs and issues, but the vast majority of the crashes and freezes have been fixed.

DICE has released several patches across all platforms since launch, and they are working on future updates right now. If you didn’t buy Battlefield 4 because of all the problems you heard the game was experiencing, now is a great time to get a copy, especially at a low price.

We’ve also heard that EA will offer a free Battlefield 4 DLC in the future, as an apology for all the problems the game has been facing.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand this is my computer specs “” and I’m having stuttering/perdiocal freezing in BF4 and a bit of low FPS than normal (around 60-80 FPS while in BF3 I have 100 FPS and there is not much graphical difference) and most maps arn’t optimized and the cave at Guillin Peaks has laggy FPS as hell
Problem is that DICE didn’t optimize the game with many NVIDIA cards such as GTX 770 and so many other people don’t enjoy the shit.

You’re complaining about a smooth 60-80 fps? Clean you windows because my 770 runs smooth as butter on every map or lower your settings

Still upset about premium members losing money due to this. There had better be some reparations for the loss of premium members’ 15 dollars.

ive been on bf4 from the start..i do miss the pdw’s from bf3 now instead we get dmr’s..the updates so far have fixed a few things..but now during some matches I still get lagged out or I will see black blotches across the mad and the one bullet kill glitch is still out seems like when they try to fix one thing another problem appears..i love the bf series..but it is frustrating

It is a fantastic game. Well worth the money(when on sale). Frustrating as hell however when you get the “DirectX” error. I only get it on my GTX 780 rig. Seems like it went away but came back with the last “update”. My GTX 570 and 660 rigs no longer have any lock ups or crashes.

The game is OK at best for me. Runs fine but I don’t get much enjoyment out of it…

    Goes like this for me:

BF2 – Years of gameplay, great fun, excellent for team gameplay and clan matches

BF3 – Put plenty of hours into this game, favorite aspects were 870MCS shotty and Tanks (T-90 = fav)

BF4 – Put some hours into this game, in some ways feels like your playing BF3, commander I think would of been best managed from within game (see BF2) since it feels like your playing without commander most times, squad system should of been like BF2 along with the commo rose, destruction is pretty good (still have objects you cannot move and get stuck on with vehicles), overall, glad I did not buy the premium version and got China Rising…Tanks and 870MCS should be like they were in BF3 since I loved those things

I’m not trolling… Still play this game from time to time but so far have not had too much enjoyment from it. Takes me a long time to get the right settings down… Have to fiddle with settings a million times before I’m happy.
