New, small Battlefield 4 PC patch released

DICE has released a new, smaller PC patch, which includes fixes for SLI and Crossfire screen flickering.

Battlefield 4 PC patch

If there was any doubt that DICE wasn’t working hard on fixing Battlefield 4, that doubt should be over by now. They’ve just released yet another Battlefield 4 patch on the PC, which fixes some smaller issues.

The main fix with the patch is a fix for three of the top crashes on the PC, plus a fix for the SLI/Crossfire screen flickering. Finally, the patch also fixes the annoying revive screen, where players would be stuck on the revive screen even after being revived by a teammate.

This is the second Battlefield 4 patch on the PC in a week, the first one being released on Monday, which included a whole slew of fixes and tweaks. A day later, DICE released a patch for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

While PC patches are more frequent now, it still takes a while for Battlefield 4 console patches to be released. This is because they have to go through additional testing and certification at Sony and Microsoft.

Here are the full patch notes for the new Battlefield 4 patch, which can be downloaded via Origin now (180 MB):

-Fix for terrain flickering when using SLI/CrossFire setup
-Fix for three of the top crash issues on the PC platform
-Fix for case when soldier can die with 1 HP instead of 0
-Fix for the issue where the revive UI could be permanently shown after accepting a revive

Now they just need to fix the terrain flicker for single-GPU setups that the last patch introduced -.-‘

Credit where credit is due. It’s good to see DICE are actually serious about fixing the issues. We’re not quite there yet but the work they’re putting in is enough to convince me.

You’d think that one of the easiest bugs to fix, the Crosshair Disappearing bug, would’ve been fixed this patch, but whatever. The only fix I can find for the bug is a short term one: hitting spot.

Yep, but for the crosshair, they are investigating. So it will be fixed.. in this life or the other ^^

Yay now I can use my 2nd 780 again. Now we need a patch to fix the 20+ snipers on every server…

“Now we need a patch to fix the 20+ snipers on every server…”

      Hahahaha. Totally!

(Looks at scoreboard mid BF4 conquest match: Why are we loosing this match? Oh there are 13 snipers on my team doing their best TDM impression. Camping and sniping, argh!)

It really is out of control. It’s crazy that for the first time regular plays most of the time better than hardcore, my preferred game mode, because of 95% of players being simply corner camping snipers.

I get snipers with sniper rifles should be posted up, as running and gunning with this set-up is dumb, but it’s just gotten out of hand how many hiding players with sniper rifles or spray and pray DMRs there are. Plus I’m tired of the mav riding douche bags that have returned. Number one exploitive spot, TDM Flood Zone highest building roof. How does DICE not keep this in check after BF3’s fiasco?

Anyhow, I think I’m more shocked by my liking regular a bit more now in BF4 because of this epidemic to be honest.
