Battlefield 4 DLC

68

Battlefield 4 DLCBattlefield 4 DLC, or downloadable content, are additional expansion packs released for the game. The Battlefield 4 DLC includes new maps, new Battlefield 4 vehicles, new weapons, assignments, and more. The DLC packs are more than just regular map maps, as they include new game modes as well, in addition to a whole slew of other content (such as new player skins, awards, assignments, and more).

Battlefield 4 DLC list

Owners of Battlefield 4 Premium will get free access to all Battlefield 4 DLC, while the rest will have to pay for each individual expansion. The expansions will likely cost $15 a piece. Here’s a list of the confirmed DLC so far:

Battlefield 4 DLC examplesAs more and more Battlefield 4 DLC is announced, we’ll update this page accordingly. The previous game had a total of 5 DLC packs, and we expect BF4 to have at least that many.

Those with a Premium subscription to the game will get free access to all Battlefield 4 DLC. Premium is available on all platforms and retails for $50. Premium is generally a good deal if you’re looking to purchase several DLC packs, as it’ll come out much cheaper in the end. In addition, it includes many other features besides DLC and expansions. These include new weapons, camos, game tips, dog tags, and more.

It’s rumored that some older maps will be offered as remakes in future Battlefield 4 DLC. These rumored maps include Road To Jalalabad, Great Wall, wake Island, and more.

    i’m wondering one thing …
when you are saying premium costs 50$, you mean game + premium or just the premium service?
’cause the game costs 60$ :l

      August 21st, 2013 at 5:57 am

Premium membership is just a bonus content which mean you need to buy the game + membership (60$+50$). The premium edition (the game + bonus membership) is not available yet.

Am I the only one left on the internet who knows that dollar signs go BEFORE the number? e.g. $60, not 60$

Many (if not most, I can’t be arsed to check right now) countries put the currency symbol after the number, because that is how it is used in speech. People don’t say “I paid dollars sixty”.

They better have wake island only not what it was like in bf3 more what it was like in bf2 that would be great and ps3 should have 32 person multiplayer 2 commanders and each team could still have 3 full squads of 5

So I have to pay for the game pretty much twice over just to get the full game with all its content? And if we don’t pay extra we get bumped into a low priority matching pool? Are you guys freakin serious???

Well done EA, on being the same old extortionists people have hated you as for years.

Here’s a crazy idea. We pay once for a game, and we get full access to it. Must be a hideous thought for you.

    • Amaninashirt
      October 23rd, 2013 at 10:43 pm

That’s how all games with “premium” do it. Yeah it sucks but think of it as buying two games. It was worth it for bf 3 and the extra 50 bucks will be worth it in bf 4. New maps more guns and vehicles. It will be epic. Keeps the game from getting old.

    • Doctor
      December 15th, 2013 at 2:57 pm

I don’t thin k you quite understand that it costs EA quite a lot of money to actually produce and sell theses games and with the amount of dlc they put out they would just end up losing money if they gave you everything free and they wouldn’t have the money to fund the next battlefield 5 and you would all get pissed at that. It seems you all just want something to get pissed at

    • brandin
      December 22nd, 2013 at 2:59 am

I agree wit u 100 %. They get enough $ for us having to pay for online. Nd all the content should already be on the game. $60 is enough as it is

        January 22nd, 2014 at 2:00 pm

People are complete dumb@sses when it comes to understanding revenue and production costs…. Well, if they want battlefield to end up like CoD, it wont be my problem

Are you guys retarded? Just wait 3 months to buy the game when premium goes on sale for 30 bucks there you go you just got 120 dollars of content for 30 dollars. Come on people lets be a little smarter about this

    • kl863
      November 26th, 2013 at 1:15 am

Or, you can buy it now and enjoy it. Is it really breaking the bank to save $20?

      • Andrew snowball
        January 3rd, 2014 at 7:54 am

Still $20 that you could spend on another game think about it why buy the game and all the dlc and compleat it all in a week I’d want to make it last as long as possible if I paid that much think about it

  8. DVSUte
    October 29th, 2013 at 2:36 am

If you play it enough it’s easily worth the extra , I’d pay 200 once this comes out I won’t be playing jack or shit else.
And waiting 3 months to get it all in one with the game ? I don’t think so regardless you’ll be three months behind the rest of us which is your choice
Sounds like you want the highest tier car for the standard price just won’t happen ever and it’s about money essentially like the rest of the planet get over it ( or go play COD)

My China Rising redeem number that came with game is a none starter ….doesn’t work.
I am not going to bother with customer support ..cos I already know how useless that is.
Strangely I had the same problem with DLC in Bf3 that did not work. I most definitely will not be shelling out £39.99p for a DLC pack on Bf4 that may or may not work.

Thats bs u gotta pay extra for content that should already be playable! Jus another way to make more money off us >: /

    • Andy
      March 19th, 2014 at 6:19 pm

First off, brandin, I think you have no understanding of business(not to offend you). The reason EA/Dice or anyone for that matter makes a game is to make money. It is not “bullshit” when a company puts hundreds of thousands of dollars into a product and expects you to pay $60(what every game costs when it first comes out) for a COMPLETE game and gives you the option to add to your user experience for an extra fee. The DLC is like a smaller game in itself. Five or more $15-$20 games for $50 is a steal. I do understand your desire for a cheaper game but also understand business and the need for profit. Sure Ea/Dice have plenty of money, but their profit pays the creators and funds your next favorite game.

      Regards,
      Andy

I’m debating on whether or not i should get BF4 premium. The only reason why I’m not sure is because my friend isnt going to be getting it. I was wondering if I could still play with him if I have premium and he doesnt. please reply, thanks.

    • DoodleVib
      February 16th, 2014 at 3:52 pm

      Hey Bradley Travis,
I know this is quite a while after you posted but I wanted to answer your question as a Battlefield veteran…

If you buy Battlefield 4 Premium and your friend does not, you will still be able to play with him on all of the original BF4 multiplayer maps (Paracel Storm, Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, etc.). Buying Premium does NOT limit you to only playing with other premium members.

HOWEVER, if you have Premium, you will be able to download all of the upcoming DLC packs (all of the ones listed on this web page) for free. Your friend, without Premium, will not receive those map packs unless he specifically chooses to pay for them individually (which is, if you pay for all of them, overall more expensive than Premium).

The long and short is, if you buy Premium and he doesn’t, YES you can play with your friend, but NO he will not be able to play on the new map packs with you.

I purchased battlefield 4 premium on ps4 it says you get all dlc early, i never got any map packs other than china rising. I contacted a game adviser and he said you will get them free when they get realeased. The question is why does it say you get early map packs when you don’t ?

I’m curious. I always play the single player campaign mode and haven’t played multiplayer. If you buy the Premium Pkg, can you play the expansion packs as single player? Or only multiplayer?

Also, is Xbox Gold required as well to make use of the Premium Pkg?

    • Swellcentaur
      March 6th, 2014 at 7:21 pm

The battlefield premium pkg is multiplayer only and so there for yes xbox gold is required for it… Also battlefield is not ment for single player it is based around its multiplayer so you should give it a try some day. Just a suggestion

Idk why you guys are all complaining about the price of premium, it’s just like session passes for other games. The only difference is that in BF4 you actually get extra stuff for buying it

And then it tells me you have to buy china rising. Tell me why is this always such a problem. Either fix it or don’t release new DLC

    Hey all,

    Big question…
I purchased BF4 Premium over 2 months ago.
The new Carrier Assault and the one just above it (can’t remember the name) won’t let me play.

It always says “no required DLC’s present” or something like that.

My system is set to automatically down load things like this, but still nothing.

Does anyone know what to do in this situation?

    Thanks !!!

      April 20th, 2014 at 1:35 pm

Hey I had the same problem on xb1… Just go to the store (in game menu) and act like you’re gonna buy the pack. It should say “you already have this dlc, wanna install it now?” Or something like that. Then just install. Hope you already fixed it by now but if you haven’t then there it is.

    Guys

I’ve paid £39.99 for premium as I love the game. I downloaded and installed it. I can see all the battle packs under the battle packs menu but none of the equipment is available in battle?

Also when I try to join a match with a premium map I get directed to PS store where it costs £0. I click download and it downloads then takes me back to choose server screen. Then the map still says Buy DLC rather than Join. Any ideas.

This is BF4 on Ps3 cheers

If you buy premium after some dlc has come out, can you still download those dlc for free?
