Battlefield 4 Knife

26

Battlefield 4 KnifeThe Battlefield 4 Knife is the trusted weapon that has been with the series since the beginning. Getting a kill with the Knife in Battlefield 4 is considered a great achievement, as it’s the toughest kill to pull off in the game. The Battlefield 4 Knife is similar to previous ones in the series, and works the same way: players can select the knife and search for an enemy to slice/stab/cut, or they can perform a quick knife kill by pressing a dedicated button.

There are different versions of the Battlefield 4 Knife, from the standard combat knife (based on the KA-BAR), to one that’s exclusive to Premium members, to a Shank, which is a smaller, lighter knife.

Battlefield 4 Knife overview

The Knife in Battlefield 4 is a melee weapon, meaning that players have to get right next to the enemy in order to perform a kill. While getting a knife kill was previously guaranteed, players in BF4 can perform a counter-attack if they’re quick on their feet. To kill someone, or perform a counter-attack, players have to quickly press the Knife button (“F” on the PC”).

  • Ammunition: infinite
  • Damage (takedown): 1 hit kill
  • Damage (slash): 50% health

Instead of a knife takedown, which results in one hit kill if performed correctly, players can also swing to slash with the knife. Each slash contributes 50% damage to the enemy.

Nope. Defib kills are definitely easier as you don’t have to wait for a long animation that leaves you vulnerable.

While this is true, there is a slight charge time on the defib. If you’re coming up behind someone solo the knife would be a better call, but head on and a midst enemies, probably the defib would be a little easier.

The standard combat knife is actually based on the M9 bayonet, not the Ka-Bar fighting knife.

Your absolution wrong, the M9 is a side arm weapon with no way to utilize any form of blades combat attachment, if you knew at all what t you were taking about our had served in the C.O R.P. you would easily be able to identify the exact dimensions of the standard U.S.M.C. Kaabar that is still in use to this day as standard issue. I still have mine, and am proud to have carried it for 8 yrs.

Is there any way to stop the enemy from countering a melee?

This ability to counter seems to be wildly overpowered, as for the most part,
players attempting to melee an opponent are far to easily countered.

I have been countered once and have countered 8 times so to me this is a bonus. I do not knife while face to face normally. Sneak attacks are a go however.

I think you can only counter knife from the front. I have been knifed from behind many times and none of them I could counter knife. When I am attacked from the front, I seem to have a lot of counter knifes.

It is possible to stop a counter by tapping the knife button rapidly. Its a matter of chance but its possible

i once countered a counter knife. i saw this guy in the water when i was in the american RCB boat on lancang dam. i was [ and still am] using the machete. i bailed out and he tried to knife me, but he was too far away so the animation didn’t trigger. then i knifed him, i clicked the melee button once and then again a few seconds later. my guy then punched him in the face [ stopping his counter] and stabbed him. its a damn shame i didn’t press the share button for the ps4.

Counter-counter knives are impossible, don’t listen to Major Luna. The reason you killed him was because he didn’t press the counter button at all. The punching animation is just the normal animation for a front stab.

I wish you could kill whole squad of enemies by defibrillating into those water-filled areas, such as trails in metro.

How do i change my onifes if i got one in a case

The only way I personally know how to do that (at least to my knowledge) is to join a multiplayer game. Once you join the game, choose the load out you wish to use and edit the class. Once you do that go to the knives part of the load out and the knive you got in a case (what ever the knive is, doesn’t matter which one it is) and it should be there. The same thing goes for weapons, camouflage for weapons, and attachments as well. I hope that made sense and that I helped you.
