Battlefield 4 Minimap
Battlefield 4 minimap (or mini map) shows points of interest to the player and is displayed on the lower left corner of the screen. The minimap in Battlefield 4 is similar to the one found in BF3, and features similar icons and graphics. The main purpose of the minimap is to make it easier for the player to orientate himself on the battlefield, and be aware of his immediate surroundings.
The Battlefield 4 minimap is visible both in singleplayer and multiplayer. Players can also zoom in on the map (“N” button on PC), to see the map in better detail. The player can select an option to either rotate the mini map or have it fixed around the player.
Battlefield 4 minimap overview
The Battlefield 4 minimap is set in the lower left corner. In addition, players can use a larger and more detailed map of the game. The mini map shows key points of interest in the map, such as teammates and enemies that have been spotted, capture pints, explosives, and more. Here’s the full breakdown of the icons on the minimap:
Star: denotes a squad leader
Green traingles: squad members
Blue traingles: teammates
Red triangles: (spotted) enemies
Red circles: enemy C4 explosives, AT mine, or Claymore mine.
Blue square: control points (team)
Red square: control point (enemy)
Circle: neutral control point (uncaptured)
Above the minimap is the current match progress section and the ticket information as well. It shows the flags and their status in the conquest mode, or the M-COM stations and tickets in Rush mode. The Battlefield 4 minimap can be turned off in the Hardcore mode, if the server owner wishes.
