Battlefield 4 Mk 48The Battlefield 4 Mk 48 is a light-machine gun that’s used by the Support class in the game. The Mk 48 in Battlefield 4 is similar to the M249 in terms of firing rate and design, but features a lighter and more mobile design. The Mk 48 was introduced in 2003 and is currently in service with the US Marines and Navy SEALs.

The Battlefield 4 Mk 48 looks very similar to the M249, but the two are somewhat different, especially when it comes to weight. The Mk 48 Mod 0 is a lighter, more agile machine gun, and is currently set to replace some of the M60 and M249 machine guns in the US military. The Mk 48 light machine gun was first spotted in the Battlefield 4 singleplayer part, where it was used by one of the NPCs. A similar LMG to the Mk 48 in the game is the new LSAT, which is lighter and more mobile.

    22-34 damage, 750rpm?… have to point out the obvious here: sounds HEAVILY OP!
    I guess its a mistake. 750RPM calls for less damage, on par with something like m27 IAR (18-25 damage, 750RPM)

    If I get that right, it fires the same caliber as M60? … but I read that it realy has a Rate of fire of “710 (± 50) rounds/min ” (wikipedia). guess they have to take a lower RPM to balance it out. 750 is close to the max (760) of what wiki says, they should rather go below that average of 710 ! -> 660 (= 710-50 = minimum) would still be quite high damage per minute!

    To the guy whos saying its op, considering it is an LMG its supposed to be really fast kill times because if it wasnt whats the point of it?

    The MK48 shoots 7.62x51mm rounds. That’s the same as some of the Semi-auto snipers in BF4 like the MK11, M39, and the M417. The damage is fine considering what comes out the end of the barrel…..
