Battlefield 4 rocket launchers

Battlefield 4 rocket launchersThe Battlefield 4 rocket launchers selection includes famous and popular rocket launchers like the RPG-7, the Javelin. It even features portable anti-air missile launchers such as the Stinger. Rocket launchers in Battlefield 4 are limited to the Engineer class, and are mainly intended for use against vehicles. However, they are very effective against infantry as well.

Battlefield 4 rocket launchers list

Each faction starts out with their own rocket launcher, and can later unlock several more. Portable anti-air missile launchers can be unlocked as well, and are suitable against jets and helicopters. Battlefield 4 rocket launchers don’t feature any accessory unlocks, but players can equip additional ammo for them. The list also includes some grenade launchers.

Battlefield 4 rocket launchers tips

Battlefield 4 rocket launchersEach rocket launcher in Battlefield 4 has its own advantages and disadvantages. The starting rocket launchers (RPG-7 and SMAW) are good overall weapons that can be used against anything. For more specific tasks, the Javelin is great against vehicles, while the Stinger and Igla can only be used against aircraft.

When engaging vehicles, try and hit them from the side or the back. When engaging enemy infantry, fire at a surface close to the enemy, as hitting them directly with the rocket is often a difficult task. The Javelin is the most effective rocket launcher against vehicles, but cannot be used against buildings or infantry.

Some of the rocket launchers, or rather, grenade launchers, can only be picked up at select points on a map, and cannot be equipped. These include the M32MGL, which is an advanced grenade launcher that can be used by any class and all factions in the game. Unlike most other Battlefield 4 weapons, rocket launchers can only be unlocked and used by the Engineer class in the game.

Rocket launcher unlocks

Unlike other weapons in the game, the rocket launchers do not have their own dedicated unlocks. The only “unlock” that’s available is the explosives perk, which doubles the amount of rockets players carry, from 3 to 6. This is the case for the AT mines that Engineers can equip and the C4 explosives used by the Recon class.

Yes, Because there’s no need to use anti aircraft weapons on aircraft. This is a realistic game, stingers are used currently… And of course it doesn’t take skill to use them. What’re you supposed to do? Shoot the stinger from the air upside down and blindfolded?

I agree. It’s not like the Igla and Stinger were OP. If you were a skilled pilot and running engineer, you could still be a pain in the ass to the opposing team.

Agreed man Ridiculous When they put Modern Weapons in that actually exists people Cry nerf i don’t get this logic in Real world you make a weapon for a purpose and when your doing well another country makes something to Be on Par or over achieve on your weapon design

Sure we can all Run around with RPG’s and Take our Sweet 20 min time to try and shoot down Players who prefer we all act like idiots , Instead he would get pissed when 3 man AA team Takes out all planes Choppers with Stingers . Flares on your Vehicle exist for a reason.

What this tells me is that you were good enough to not use these “noob” weapons, yet bad enough to still get shot down by them.

They are nice. However, they shouldn’t have plentyful of them in the inventory. 2-3 at max.

Again you didn’t mention a Anti Air Weapon (which I don’t remember the name). It’s something like the Igla/Stinger but instead it fires 4 AA missiles at the same time so that it will be harder for the Choppers/Jets to counter them with flares/ECM.But to disable a chopper with it, 3 missiles must hit it.

I think that if the Javelin is able to down aircraft, it shouldn’t be counter measured by flares. Maybe ECM jammer, but let’s face it. The missile is following a laser lock. I think the appropriate CM is to get out of sight of the laser or deploy chaff.

In fact, the javelin has an IR-imaging seeker. Not a laser-seeker. Thus, the SOFLAM-approach being used in BF3 (and probably in BF4) is way off the hinge.

It should be able to track and attack tanks and vehicles, as well as buildings and do it “stealthy”. No warning. However, it takes time to aquire a target properly and if it is being lost it may loose it all together.

Every one is so quick to defend the lock on anti air noob weapons. Here’s the deal, RPGs cost 50-100$ stingers cost around 30,000 and you can resupply them from a little bullet box. Wouldn’t be so bad if the flares, which I’m pretty sure are extremely cheap didn’t have a long cool down time or at least give them a flare count. And don’t even get me started on how a whole team will use them, I mean why not just give them Bugattis and diamond plated laser guided missles.

These things don’t even begin to do their proper damage. The Javelin suffers the most and is subsequently a little fart in the ocean compared to its real life counterpart. It takes four of them to take out one tank, and can’t be used against air targets or fired without a lock-on. It also isn’t a fire-and-forget system in-game, which it is in real life.

There’s almost no point to using these, aside from demolishing cover. Therefore, only the RPG7v2 and MBT LAW are the only useful ones, and I only use the Stinger if I absolutely need to take something out of the air.

Why ruin such awesome equipment by making it deal only a fraction of its real damage? A Stinger missile can drop a plane or helicopter, or at least cripple it and force it to either limp back to base or crash land where it is. A Javelin can take out a tank in one shot and possesses a 12x zoom and thermal view. It can target any surface the controller selects, not just a vehicle.

Also, flares shouldn’t stop radar-guided missiles, since they literally don’t in real life. You use chaff to shake radar lock, and flares to shake IR/heat-guided. There are so many things wrong with this game that it’s only marginally better than CoD due to having bullet drop, vehicles, and larger maps.

Also, hellfire missiles can gut mobile artillery vehicles in one shot. It shouldn’t take 14 of them to drop a single helicopter. The vehicles and weapon systems are so neutered that you might as well just stick to your rifles and handguns.

I do agree about everything you said, and you have to realize this is not as realistic as they planned it to be.

Because look…if we are looking for realism it should be 1 shot to the head, but it’s not.

I would love to play a game that is equivalent to BF4 graphically, and much more realistic such as Insurgency. There needs to be a more strategic, think before you jump out of the corner game out there.
