Battlefield 4 shotguns list

Battlefield 4 shotgun tips

There is a variety of Battlefield 4 shotguns suitable for different needs. Overall, shotguns are close range weapons, and if you’re playing in close quarter maps, semi-automatic shotguns such as the M1014 and the SAIGA-12K are preferred. If you want more range and versatility, opt for one of the pump action shotguns, such as the SPAS-12. Depending on how the shotgun is equipped with various accessories, it can expand on its use. For example, using Frag rounds and Slugs greatly increases the range of the shotgun, however, it’s not as useful in close quarter combat as regular buckshot. Unlike most weapons, shotguns are mainly intended for very close quarter combat.

Battlefield 4 shotguns unlocks

Battlefield 4 shotguns unlocksBattlefield 4 shotguns have their own unlocks like other guns in the game. However, the types of unlocks are quite limited. Shotgun unlocks include basic scopes such as the Reflex, laser sights, and expanded magazine. However, shotguns in BF4 can also use unlocked ammunition, which includes frag rounds, slugs, and flechette rounds as well. Some of the popular shotgun unlocks include the laser light combo, the tri beam laser, and the magnifier. For more unlocks, see the attachments and accessories page.

Lets hope they shorten the range on the shotguns. I’ve been killed so many times from the other side of the map by a spawn camper with a SPAS-12 with slug rounds and a rifle scope

Why dont you demand one hit kill for pumps at short and medium range, and ban slugs.

Its people like you that ruin games, look at ghosts, they listened to the squeakers oh shotguns are op. Bullshit, they underpowered.

Where is ghosts, its a dead game thanks to idiots like you and developers that are stupid enough to listen to your cowardice!

Something I’d love to see done is being able to modify the choke on your shotguns. I’d love to use a pump-action with a super narrow choke…more range is nice; minimal spread.

You sure did forget the DBV-12. It was seen on a gameplay trailer.
It is a semi-auto shotgun version of AK-12. Make sure to include it!

Just wanted to say, I’m playing the beta and the shotguns are great weapons. The problem with them is when you reload one shell, you lose 8 shells

I haven’t got BF4 yet, but I hope the Saiga isn’t going to be like in BF3. Saiga 12G + Frag rounds = Semi auto RPG.

LOL! In bf3 I had used a USAS with Frag and shot down a jet flying low over me – that was awesome

The shotguns are perfect in bf4. they do take some skill and a feel for the gun to become useful.. yes the dao is in bf4.. the pump action guns have a little bit more damage to them but the semi automatics fire faster. As for long range- of course slugs can go long range… try deer hunting with KO rounds…. and battlefield 4 you can snipe with the slug very well- but like I said, you have to be good with the gun and have an understanding for the drop since there’s really no drop markers on the rifle scopes and slugs have different gravity properties vs. rifle bullets. and soon the guns have different pellet counts versus another…. and some people have the misconception that more pellets means more damage which isn’t true.. they all have the same damage divided among the pellets, so in order to get maximum damage- more pellets must make contact… so a gun with the least amount of pellets would be more accurate and more damaging since you don’t need as many on target…
