Battlefield 4 SMGs

Battlefield 4 SMGsThe Battlefield 4 SMGs – submachine guns — are small, lightweight weapons that can be unlocked and used by any class in the game. Battlefield 4 SMGs (or personal defense weapons) come in all forms and sizes, from the classic ones such as the UMP-45, to experimental SMGs such as the PDW-R personal defense weapon. The SMGs offer a lighter and more nimble alternative to regular assault rifles in the game. However, personal defense weapons / SMGs do have limited range compared to larger assault rifles and carbines.

Battlefield 4 SMGs list

The selection of SMGs and personal defense weapons in the game is limited compared to other weapons and rifles. However, Battlefield 4 SMGs can be unlocked and used by any class. Like other weapons, they have their own unlocks, where players can equip scopes, larger magazines, silencers, and more. The weapons can be further customized with special camos — there are over 130 different camos in all in the game.

Battlefield 4 SMGs tips

There’s more variety in the Battlefield 4 SMGs than any other weapon group — over 12 different weapons, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. There are smaller SMGs with incredible firing rate suitable for close range combat, such as the M5K and MP7, and there are larger SMGs suited for more general combat, such as the UMP-45. Overall, SMGs are meant mostly for defense, rather than being the main attack weapons.

Depending on the type of SMG and its accessories, it’s possible to have a decent weapon setup for almost any situation. There are also specialized SMGs (or Personal Defense Weapons) such as the silenced AS-VAL, or the high-capacity P90, which is perfect for close quarter, interior combat situations. Unlike most other weapons, the SMGs (or personal defense weapons) are mainly intended for close quarter and urban combat. Always keep in mind that SMGs have less range and deal less damage than dedicated rifles such as assault rifles and carbines.

Battlefield 4 SMGs unlocks

Battlefield 4 SMGs unlocksBattlefield 4 Personal Defense Weapons feature their own unlocks like other weapons in the game. Players can unlock scopes for better accuracy and range, or fore-grips for less recoil etc. Some SMGs offer expanded capacity magazines as well. In order to unlock accessories for the SMGs, players need to earn kills with the same weapon. The more kills are earned, the more accessories are unlocked for use. Some of the popular SMG unlocks include the green laser sight, the R2 suppressor, Folding grip, and the tactical light.

technically its a sniper riffle with full auto capabilitys but yes it is still under the wrong category

Mate, you’ve gotten it all wrong… As Val is a Assault rifle, while VSS Vintorez is a sniper variant of it ( its semi-auto in real life)
Its classed as a SMG, because it fires a 9mm round, yet it has a body of a assault rifle

the VSS is semi and full auto

Its a 9×39 round (a standard 9mm is a 9×19). The difference between the rifles (other than the stock) is that the VSS is designed for the SP-5 9×39 which has a heavier load than the AS VAL’s SP-6 9×39. Also the VSS is both semi and fully automatic.

Correct. they should Put the AS VAL where it Belongs , Take away UMP 9 Since 45 is already in . and Add 2 other Replacements that are Actual Sub machine guns.

No, the VSS is only semi. get your facts straight.

The VSS is both semi and full auto. “The VSS is normally fed from a 10-round magazine and fired semi-automatically. Should the operational need arise, the weapon can be used in fully automatic mode using either its original 10-round magazine or the 20-round magazines from the AS rifle.”

I never really used the SMGs that much. The only one I really used was the UMP-45 and that was so over powered

I would love for DICE to add the regular MP5 for once. The G53 and M5K are cool….but nothing compares to an MP5.

Ooo or how about a KRISS Vector? Would love to see that thing.

Nope. The only PDW’s in there are the p90 and the mp7. The cartridge is what matters.

No you didn’t… You can’t import firearms from Russia, unless its a Saiga rifle or shotgun.. Russia can’t import military based firearms unless they are sporterized…

No, you cannot have a full-auto capable weapon as a civillion

      • most guns are auto-matic
        December 26th, 2013 at 9:38 am

I’m a little late but Americans can own full autos with the right license and if the gun was made before 1986 or ’84 don’t remember exact date.

Some of us have waited long enough for the “Kriss Super V” to be added to the game. Come on DICE, don’t let us down again. It’s such a waste not to include such innovative firearm created in recent history.

Put in the old Tommy gun like like they did in Bad Company 2 and BF3. Even better, a PPsH-43.

Awesome guns that DICE should’ve added in Battlefield 4:
    1. Kriss Vector CRB
Small size, reliable, fires the powerful .45 APC round and has a RoF of 1200rpm! Y u not add Vector in BF4???
    2. Faxon ARAK 21
Half AR, half AK. Fires either the 556 or 762 round (not really sure), has great accuracy and durability
    3. Uzi Pro
Fires 9mm parabellum round, has RoF of 1050 rpm. Has twice the range and muz vel of the previous uzi
    4. AAC Honey badger
Silenced AR15 based PDW which fires the .300 aac round (7.62mm in the metric system). Low recoil and awesome accuracy.
    5. AS50
Has an effective range of 1.8 km and fires the .50BMG round. Semi-automatic and has a RoF of 5 rounds/1.6 sec

These are all real weapons. Don’t belive me? Ask the CoD geeks pr Mr. Google, DICE!!

However much i do want the vector in the game, it would be ridiculously over powered. Just think of a gun the fires .45 ACP at 1200 rpm with virtually no recoil and a 45 round magazine. Add burst fire and a supressor to the mix and you have the instant best gun in the game!
