Battlefield 4 Stinger
The Battlefield 4 Stinger (or FIM-92 Stinger) is an unlockable anti-air rocket launcher used by the Engineer class. The Stinger in Battlefield 4 is one of only two portable, shoulder-fired anti-air rocket launchers in the game, the other being the Russian IGLA. The Battlefield 4 Stinger is well suited against all aerial vehicles, including jets, UAVs, and helicopters. Players can carry 3 missiles as standard, which can be expanded to 6 with the “explosives” specialization.
The FIM-92 Stinger entered service in the early 1980s for the US military, and has been used all over the world. The Stinger was first featured in BF3, where it was also unlocked by the Engineer class in multiplayer. It has a great range and can often track enemy aircraft across the map.

Battlefield 4 Stinger tips
To effectively use the Battlefield 4 Stinger against enemy aircraft, keep an eye out for jets and helicopters dropping flares. If you fire too early, the flares will distract the missile. Often, it’s best to lock on and wait until flares are dropped, then lock on again and fire the Stinger. Another strategy is to wait until enemy AA or jets have hit the aircraft first, which means you’ll likely be able to get one-hit kill.
